Medical Image Processing School

The course is designed to orientate trainee to medical darkroom practice, film processing, handling, storage and care, processing chemicals, proper processing procedures, darkroom equipment and accessories. The program is regulated by the radiographers registration board of Nigeria, which was established by Decree No. 42 of 1987 CAP RI LFN 2004.

Medical Image Processing Assistant (Darkroom Assistant) Course

• Applicant must possess at least four (4) O’Level passes at not more than two (2) sittings to include one (1) science subject and English language
• Duration: 2 years (1 year course work and 1 year practical attachment)

Medical Image Processing Technician (Darkroom Technician) Course

• The possession of three (3) credit level passes in GCE/WAEC/SSCE/NECO which must include English language, mathematics and any other science subject at not more than two (2) sittings.
• Duration: 3 years (2 year course work and 1 year practical attachment)
